In the Afghanistan Pastoral Engagement, Adaptation and Capacity Enhancement (PEACE) project, cellular technology is allowing farmers and herders to better predict agricultural success. Herders can gather helpful information, from finding potentially fruitful grazing land, to analyzing manure. Also, by sending a text the current market prices for livestock can be given in a matter of minutes.
