Airwave Mobile Criminal Intelligence is a mobile application developed by Airwave Solutions Limited that lets police officers in the UK access, capture and submit criminal intelligence immediately from the scene, on handheld or vehicle-based devices. Officers can create, search and retrieve intelligence records directly against force databases rather than filing paperwork back at the station, which the company says speeds up access to information, cuts administrative overhead, reduces data-entry errors, and gets new intelligence into analysts’ hands for evaluation more quickly. The result, according to Airwave, is better-informed decisions in the field and more officer time spent on the beat rather than on data entry.
