The Director of The Technical Centre for Agriculture and Rural Cooperation (CTA), Dr. Hansjorg Neun has stressed the need to collaborate with government institutions, Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Farmer Group Organizations (FGOs) in order to reach the local farmers with information on new strategies in agricultural production. Such a co-operation, he noted would also create a market to spread information to farmers in the rural areas of the Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) group of States in order to help improve their livelihood. This article looks at information provision to farmers, including SMS.
