3rdWhale Mobile is an iPhone application, covered on the nonprofit-technology blog The Extraordinaries, that helps users find nearby eco-friendly businesses such as vegetarian restaurants, fair trade shops, yoga studios and bike shops across more than 25,000 listed green businesses in major North American markets. The app organises listings into six categories spanning food, retail, eco-travel, wellness, transportation and services, and offers user ratings and reviews, turn-by-turn directions, and filtering by walking, biking or driving distance, letting users find help planning trips that match their environmental and ethical values.
