A BBC News report from the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on the launch of the mHealth Alliance, a partnership between the UN Foundation, Vodafone Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation aimed at uniting the growing but fragmented field of mobile health projects. The alliance drew on an ‘mHealth for Development’ study cataloguing more than 50 mobile health programmes worldwide, and set out to help governments, NGOs and mobile operators scale up initiatives and build a stronger business case for industry involvement in healthcare delivery.
