A GSMA Mobile Money for the Unbanked market research report on mobile money in the Democratic Republic of Congo, published July 2013, examining consumer needs and opportunities in payments and financial services. Based on surveys of household decision-makers and small business owners, the report finds limited use of formal financial services in the DRC and assesses preferences for money transfer methods, bill payment, savings behaviour and awareness of mobile money, setting out the opportunities and challenges facing mobile operators as they move into the mobile money space.
