PanGlobal Insurance Bhd launched a Short Messaging Motor Insurance System in Malaysia that lets car owners request quotes and renew motor insurance policies by sending an SMS to a dedicated number at standard messaging rates. Customers could also buy a policy over SMS by sending their credit card and billing details by text, extending a service already used by PanGlobal’s 260,000 customers nationwide to the convenience of a mobile phone.
