Another article on this petition, in support of a campaign that urges African governments to ratify the “African Union’s Protocol on the Rights of Women in Africa”, which was signed in part via SMS. Fifteen countries need to ratify the treaty in order for it to take effect. With thirteen to date, Africans continued to push for its ratification using SMS technology.
