Dapat, a Malaysian mobile interactive solution, is offering to set up for free the “info-structure” to link all the relevant authorities and public broadcast systems to enable Malaysians to receive disaster notification via SMS. The system currently in place is being used for public earthquake alerts. The Dapat alert system is presently linked to mass media (e.g. radio stations).
