Text messaging is often seen as a valuable tool in elections and campaigning, but that’s not how they seem to see it in Cambodia. The National Election Committee there has requested that The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications close their SMS service from March 31st to April 1st 2007 at 3:00 p.m. to stop it being used as a tool for election campaigning by political parties. An interesting short article for all the wrong reasons?
