An SMS service for immediate redressal of agri-related problems of the farmers in the state, introduced by the Haryana Agriculture Department in April 2007 has been a success with the farmers asking a wide range of questions from experts. The success of this service was recently reviewed in a state level meeting of the Kisan Call Centre and Mass Media Committee held under the chairmanship of the Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Agriculture, Mr S P Sharma. Mr Sharma today directed the agriculture department to utilise this service in such a way so that a large number of farmers could be provided speedy solutions for their agri-related problems
