Measuring the Information Society: The ICT Development Index 2009

The International Telecommunication Union’s 2009 Measuring the Information Society report, presenting the ICT Development Index (IDI) for more than 150 economies. It compares index values for 2002 and 2007 to show how countries’ ICT access, use and skills have changed, and introduces a new ICT Price Basket to track the affordability of ICT services. At 108 pages, it is a major early benchmark of how far countries had progressed towards an information society.
