As a solution for non-compliance with medications for chronic illness, SIMpill provides wireless monitoring and support of patients on chronic medication. SIMpill monitors and reminds patients to take their medications. When the bottle is opened, it sends a text message to the central server, and stores the message for statistical purposes. Should a message not be received within the expected time period, a message is sent to the patient as a reminder to take the medication.
