Report
A study prepared for the World Bank-supported infoDev programme, with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the GSMA, and published in January 2006. It examines micro-payment systems and how they work over mobile networks, focusing on two Philippine services, SMART Money and GLOBE’s G-Cash, and also drawing on experience in southern Africa and Kenya. At around 49 pages, it considers what these early services suggest for mobile payments and mobile commerce in developing countries.
