Project
The Nokia Eco Sensor Concept was a Nokia Research Center design concept pairing a compact mobile phone with a wearable, solar-powered sensor unit that could monitor health, weather and local environmental conditions, sharing the collected data with friends and other users to raise environmental awareness. Users could choose which sensors to include, for example combining a heart-rate monitor and motion detector as a personal fitness tracker, with the device built around reduce, reuse and recycle principles, using renewable or reclaimed materials, printed electronics to shrink its size, and near-field communication to relay data between the sensor and the phone.
