Telefonica Nokia Education

Project

A press release announcing a strategic agreement between Telefonica and Nokia to deliver educational content to remote Latin American schools using mobile technology. It builds on the Telefonica Foundation’s Pronino and Educared programmes, with a first rollout in Chile using Telefonica mobile broadband and Nokia Education Delivery software, and later extension to other countries. In 2008 Pronino reached more than 107,000 children in 13 countries and Educared received over 60 million visits. Nokia Data Gathering software will also replace paper forms for monitoring Pronino’s impact.
